Social worker, psychotherapist
A member of The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers for over 10 years, I work in the field of community and educational mental health as a social worker and psychotherapist. I support families and individuals (adults and adolescents) in a process of change aimed at alleviating suffering and developing a healthy life balance.
My practice is rooted in a humanistic, caring, and collaborative perspective. Consultations are conducted respectfully and are based on an anti-oppressive approach, thus remaining open to individuals and families from diverse communities.
I use a personalized approach, informed by validated practices such as Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and EMDR therapy. I am particularly interested in advances in neuroscience, which have contributed to improving our understanding of the brain and changing our perception of mental health disorders. This neuroscientific perspective allows me to assess the effect of toxic stress on emotional regulation and interpersonal relationships. This knowledge is particularly well-suited to individual contexts, as well as to family interventions and parent coaching.
Finally, I offer psychotherapy services to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and grief, stress management, relationship challenges, attachment, family dynamics, and issues relevant to members of the LGBTQ2S+ community. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation to ensure client-therapist compatibility.
I also offer therapy in English.
